It Started in the Kitchen

The Smith family spent 20-plus years curing their own meats, growing their own garden, and knowing every ingredient by name. Eventually, the grocery store just didn't cut it anymore.

Finding a Home in New Bremen

Opening the deli meant Health Department approvals and hunting down the right building — but the community showed up and made it happen. That small-town spirit has been baked into every visit ever since.

Meet the Baker

The eldest Smith daughter earned her Baking & Pastry Arts degree from Sinclair Community College and now runs MadSweets in-house. Cinnamon rolls, snickerdoodles, and banana bread disappear from the counter faster than she can stock them.

More Than a Deli

Through DB Market, the team stocks Steinview Maple Syrup, Boone's Bees Honey, His Saving Grains, and Rindler Homestead goods — because supporting neighbors is just how they shop. One stop gets you lunch, smoked brisket, and a jar of local honey.
